Trombonist - Educator
The biggest purpose of this website is to provide a comprehensive resource for students, parents, and music educators alike. I have always believed that education should not be hard to access and it should not be put behind a paywall; So this website is my attempt at sharing as much of my knowledge and resources as possible with those who need it. First and foremost, in the WHAT IS MUSIC EDUCATION? tab you will find an explanation of what music education actually is and series of resources anyone can use to get a better idea of how to begin your music education journey, what schooling for music / music education looks like, what getting credentialed in the state of California entails, and how to find your first job as a music educator. Next, in the MATERIALS / SUPPLIES tab you will find a series of purchasing guides for most of the instruments in a middle school, high school, and college wind or concert band. These purchasing guides are meant to educate students and parents about the differences between beginner, intermediate, and professional model instruments; Including all of the gear needed for each instrument. These guides are by no means the "be all, end all" of instrument purchases, they are just meant to give you a good idea of what you should look for and links to high quality purchases. Next, is the USEFUL TOOLS tab. This tab is just meant to provide musicians with some useful tools to being successful. This page will consistently be updated as I find more useful things to add to a musicians tool bag. Next is the ACADEMIC RESOURCES tab, which will be full of good resources to use as music educators and music education students. This page will be full of the websites and resources I consult regularly along my journey as a music educator. Next, is my TEACHER BLOG, where I will be posting periodic updates on what I have been doing as a music educator. Lastly is my TROMBONE STUFF. As a lifelong trombone player myself, this page is entirely dedicated to providing free pdfs and resources for trombone players. This includes solo repertoire, duets, ensemble music, etudes, method books, and anything else I have that is helpful. If you are a TROMBONE PLAYER, YOU SHOULD LOOK AT THIS TAB.
Thank you for visiting my website!
